Setting up a Microsoft partner relationship

To be able to supply and (continue to) manage business Microsoft licenses, a partner relationship is required. The process for setting up that partner relationship is quite simple. Follow the instructions below or watch the video. It takes less than a minute and works as follows.

    Set up partner relationship

    1. Click on the button above and log in with an administrator account.
    2. Ensure that you create the relationship from your own tenant (Microsoft environment) to us (2GO Software BV).
    3. Accept the rights for a partner relationship with Pax8 (our distributor) and 2GO Software BV (that's us).

Why are there 3 parties in the partner relationship?

In a partner relationship for business Microsoft licenses, three parties are always involved: the customer, the Microsoft partner (Licentie2GO), and the distributor. This structure ensures that various responsibilities are effectively divided. These are the roles of each:

    1. The customer This is you; the organization using the license. Business licenses are never supplied with license codes but are always delivered directly in a portal. This way, you have control over the licenses and can perform most license operations without the intervention of the Microsoft partner (Licentie2GO).
    2. The Microsoft partner – This is us; 2GO Software We are responsible for supplying the licenses and assisting with advice on the configuration, implementation, and management of the Microsoft licenses. We offer an additional support package for this, which is paid annually or monthly so you can work worry-free.
    3. The distributor – This is Pax8 - Resello - TVG. The distributor handles the purchase of licenses from Microsoft and then supplies them to the Microsoft partner (2GO SOftware). This structure exists because Microsoft does not supply business licenses directly to their partners. There is always a distributor involved who helps us (2GO Software) with training our staff, selecting the right additional licenses, and efficiently managing large volumes of licenses.

What can a partner do in a partner relationship?

In a partner relationship with Microsoft 365, there are various rights and powers that partners – distributors and resellers – may have. These rights are necessary to manage licenses and provide support. However, these rights only pertain to the management of licenses! There is no access to files, email, or other matters that you, as the customer, manage and process within the license for the Microsoft product. In short; it is purely an administrative action; you are NOT granting us access to your files.
