What we noticed: installation of both programs ran without a hitch and the downloads are easy to find in your Adobe account. With Photoshop Elements, we spent a little time at first finding our way around the buttons, but AI Assistant gave us a clear answer straight away whenever we got stuck. With Premiere Elements, the interface looked clear and well organised, with an obvious split between the timeline, media library, and editing tools.

We tested the Remove tool in Photoshop Elements on a photo of our own desk, aiming to erase the mugs on the table. The result was convincing straight away:
