Adobe Photoshop CC and Corel Paintshop Pro 2022, they are both outstanding programs for those who want to take photo editing to the next level. They have a lot in common. But there are also differences. With this information we hope to be able to help you make the right choice. There is actually no wrong choice, but there is probably one of the two programs that fits you better. We won't go into detail about all the similarities and differences but we will touch on a few important points.

* Corel works with fixed versions. This means that you should check carefully whether your camera is supported. If it is supported now, it will stay supported! However, if you buy a new camera it is not guaranteed that it will work with Corel AfterShot 3. Corel will have to update the software to support the latest cameras. But whether that happens (and when it happens) and whether your new camera is included is impossible to predict. There is a chance that you will have to buy the latest version of Corel Aftershot and then simply import all existing photos, albums and settings to Corel Aftershot 4 (as soon as that version is available).
The differences - Which program fits you best?
The differences between Adobe Photoshop CC and Corel Paintshop Pro 2022 are quite small. The programs look different compared to each other but most of the functionalities are present in a similar way in both versions. The small differences like the photo manager and ready-to-use effects in Corel Paintshop Pro 2022 are interesting but then again Adobe Photoshop CC puts more text capabilities and Cloud service in return. It is up to you to decide what you find most important.
Both programs come in multiple languages e.g. English, German, French and Dutch.
The cost.
With Adobe, you pay annually for your software. But you also get a lot in return. With Paintshop Pro 2022 you may even have to repurchase if you buy a new camera.
Is there any way to save on price? Yes, buy Lightroom and Photoshop from Adobe in 1 license via the Photography Plan. This will save you considerably on costs. If you d like to buy Corel Paintshop Pro 2022 and Corel AfterShot Pro 3 together to have more editing possibilities then the PaintShop PRO Ultimate bundle exists for that.
